One unbroken shift on a warehouse floor, from the first kick to the first grey light. The album moves like a long DJ set: a driving start that locks the crowd in, a stripped and darker hour where only the bass and hats remain, a tribal stretch of congas and hand percussion, two peak-time rushes, and a wide euphoric finale when the doors open and nobody wants to leave. Lia appears in fragments on six tracks, short chopped phrases used as rhythm, never as a song. Dry punchy kicks, rolling reese and sub basses, syncopated hats and short chord stabs throughout.
